Oak Tree Therapy, PLLC is the private practice of Lauren Brown-Sadighi, MA, LPC.
While I am a Texas native, I spent a majority of my childhood overseas where I first developed a strong interest in the universal human need for emotionally intimate connections, attachment, and relationships. This interest became a passion that is incorporated into my therapeutic relationships. In session I utilize a variety of interventions that are individualized based on a person’s strengths, tendencies, and preferences.
I have experience working with a variety of life stages, populations, and diagnoses. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Texas at Dallas and served as an intern at a community clinic serving individuals and families. While pursuing my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marymount University in the Washington Metropolitan Area, I interned at an intensive outpatient facility focusing on dual diagnosis. I also interned at the Gil Institute, where I had the opportunity to train under renowned play therapist, Dr. Eliana Gil, at her private practice. Since, I have continued to work in both community and private practice settings, and also served as an on-call clinician for Emergency Mobile Psychiatric Services in lower Fairfield County, through 211 services.
